When the training camp began, the two candidates for the job were Jonathan Garibe

and Lirim Hazrullah. The winner of the contest is... Brett Maher.

The experiment worked as Maher hit multiple game winners and set a

new franchise record with 62-yards against the Eagles.

But unfortunately, Brett's accuracy dropped from 81% to 67%.

Dallas cut him that December and brought Kai in forebath to finish the season.

It wasn't enough to keep Brett in New Orleans or get him a job in the first off-season,

but it tempted the Cowboys to bring him back a few weeks earlier.

Neither Lirim nor Jonathan did enough to earn the team's trust,

instead, Dallas reverted to a former run and is now hiring him for 2022.
