The San Francisco 49ers are reportedly adding some help on defense.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, team safety is set to sign Tashawn Gipson.
Gipson worked with the Chicago Bears before his contract expired.

Finished with a fumble recovery, two interceptions and three pass defended.
Before signing with the Bears, he spent one season with the Houston Texans,
Three with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and four with the Cleveland Browns.
In 140 games, he made 563 tackles (408 singles), a sack, a coercive rumble,
Three fumble recoveries, 27 interceptions and 56 passes defended.
If he's not ready to leave in the next three weeks
So he's ready to start in place of Jimmy Ward. Ward recently suffered a hamstring injury.
