The Kansas City Chiefs have announced they have

waived five players ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline.

Roderick Johnson, tackle quarterback Dustin Crum, leave behind Tyne Fleet-Davis,

wide receiver Aaron Parker and linebacker Mike.

With the possible exceptions of Johnson and Rose, none of these moves are surprising.

There were some first-team snaps during training camp, while Orlando Brown Jr. was left to tackle.

But since then, the team has appeared to show more side to deal with Garon Christian,

who we expect to make the final preliminary 53-man roster as the team's swing tackle.

Rose joined the team as a free agent out of Iowa State

after last spring's NFL Draft. He stood out to some observers,

but not many expected him to make it to the team's 53-man roster.

These moves make the roster 75. The team will have to reduce its roster to 53 players by 3 pm.
