Brian Kelly Demands LSU Football, So Catch Him to Nick Saban Standards.

LSU spent a lot of time hiring an established football coach,

where they hoped for success and brighter days for the new Tigers.

The year was 2000, and Nick Saban was preparing for his

1st season as coach of LSU. Saban was robbed

by the Tigers by doubling the salary of the state of Michigan.

He was joined as coach with Bobby Bowden,

Steve Spurrier and Philip Fulmer, who earned seven figures.

The first reporter to question Saban at SEC Media Days asked

if he was up to the lofty expectations of his new job.
