Cleveland Browns lineman Joel Bittonio raised some eyebrows this season
by boldly declaring that it is "Cleveland against the world" this season.
This comment was a very hostile one. Which quarterback Watson
got in his preseason opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
"It looks like Cleveland is up against the world more
than ever, so we'll be ready for that," Bittonio said again.
But given the situation surrounding Watson, NFL fans didn't appreciate Bittonio,
treating it like a simple rivalry issue. So Bittonio spoke to the
media on Wednesday in an attempt to clarify the situation.
Bittonio explained that Brown quarterbacks always cringe
when they go to rival stadiums. As a result, he feels the team
needs to have an "against the world" mentality at all times.
