Detroit Lions were hoping that this preseason could provide them
with a fight between backup quarterbacks to see who would work behind
Jared Goff on the depth chart. the fight never happened together and
NFL team is cutting off one of the players they hoped would outperform.
Boyle, who played for Yukon and Eastern Kentucky in college, signed
with the Green Bay Packers in 2018 as an undrafted free agent.
He became an unrestricted free agent after 2020
and signed a one-year contract with the Lions in March.
When Goff missed out on injuries, Boyle began his first career in 2021.
