On Wednesday, the Dallas Cowboys placed wide receivers Taron Smith (hamstring)
and James Washington (leg) on injured reserve. The same action is anticipated to be taken
with cornerbacks C. Washington and Smith on the 53-man roster.
Smith is not anticipated to return until sometime in December,
and Washington will be required to sit out at least the first four games.
In a training camp workout, Washington injured his leg and
was initially predicted to be out for six to ten weeks, leaving him on the sidelines
and looking for potential relevance to begin the regular season.
The No. 1 wideout CD Lamb will ask rookies Jalen Tolbert and Noah Brown to leave the team
if he is out and Michael Gallup (knee) is preparing for the first week of the season.
