Michael Gallup will begin the season on the Dallas Cowboys' 53-man roster,

ensuring he is eligible to play at least the first week.

During Tuesday's interview on 105.3 The Fan (h/t Pro Football Talk),

Jerry Jones admitted that the wide receiver against

Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 11 is unlikely to be favorable.

However, the Cowboys' owner insisted that Gallup go.

Gallup tore his ACL in week 17 of the 2021 season,

which ended with him receiving 445 yards and two touchdowns.

The Cowboys awarded him a $62.5 million contract extension, despite the injury.
