The Braves announced that Max Fried will step down from the injured list

and will begin Thursday night's series finale against the Mets.

Fried protests with the first pitch at Truist Park by Jacob deGrom, Will be scheduled for 7:20 p.m. ET.

Fried, who last pitched against the Mets in New York ten days ago,

Concussion went to IL and missed its scheduled start over the weekend in Miami.

While fielding and attempting to throw the ball towards the plate

Fried felt a lingering effect after hitting his head on the ground.

He remained in the game but later realized that he was not 100 percent.

Despite Fried's absence, the Braves were started by seven different pitchers.

Won seven consecutive games, credited to the 40-man roster

Now, Fried will look to close the series against the division-leading Mets.
