Bob Glauber, who covered the NFL for 37 years,
announced his retirement shortly before 9 a.m. on his Twitter account.
He also spent 30 years covering the NFL for Newsday. In Glauber's
goodbye piece, he thanked readers for all their support over the years.
“You are the one who has read our stories and columns about a sport
that has grown rapidly over the past half-century. All these years
have had the privilege of telling stories and giving opinions,
And to be able to humanize players and coaches. Watching it on tv
and cheering from the stands has been the greatest privilege of all."
The world of the NFL was quick to congratulate Glauber on a career that was thriving.
