As David Newton reports, backup Sam Darnold has been dropped
during the team's preseason finale against the Bills.
The 25-year-old's left ankle was twisted while taking a hit.
The other bad news for them was that head coach Matt Roule
recently named Baker Mayfield the team's starting quarterback.
The team has announced, no wonder Darnold will not be returning.
The Panthers also have two other players who collided during tonight's game.
Defensive tackle Derrick Brown left the competition with an oblique injury,
Newton tweeted. Any absence from the 2020 first-rounder
would be a major blow to the team's defensive interior.
