With the preseason now in the rearview mirror

and a date on tap on September 12 with Russell Wilson

and the Broncos to open the regular season,

Seahawks have begun the process of reducing their roster to 53 players.

According to NFL rules, all 32 teams must comply

with the 53 players on their respective rosters

by the deadline of 1 p.m. PST on Tuesday. Teams can

and will continue to reshuffle their rosters after that point,

but they must make similar moves to prevent crossing the 53-man limit.
