The third episode of "Hard Knocks" gives us an in-depth look at the Detroit Lions

visit to Indianapolis for Week 2 of the preseason.

This had to happen just before the Colts won a two-point effort of a potential game,

when defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn pulled Jarad Davis aside to promote him.

This is the end of the fourth quarter in a preseason game.

The people of that region, most likely, are not going to make the 53-man roster.

It was on top of linebackers coach Calvin Shepard calling several linebackers, Davis,

especially during his first week of play. In the grand scheme of things,

this was not a very important moment. Cares about putting them in their best playing condition,

whether it's for a future in Detroit or elsewhere. It's the kind of love

that will drive players back to Detroit, and set the Lions up for a bright future.
