WWE shares rose 2.4% after the company also beat Wall Street's earnings target.
The company, now with its own investigation into McMahon, could face repercussions from regulators.
The company said in a filing, "The company has received
and in the future, regulatory, investigation and enforcement inquiries, summons
or may receive demands relating to these matters, or in relation to these matters.
For now, however, the investigation by the company's special committee is largely complete.
