Brian Robinson Jr., a rookie of Washington commanders fleeing east of Alabama,
was shot several times during the robbery attempt. According to JP Finlay,
the injuries suffered by Robinson are non-life threatening.
Robinson was selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Playing mostly a reserve role early in his college career, Robinson had a breakout
season in 2021, rushing 1,343 yards on 261 carries for a total of 16 TDs.
Robinson's most memorable performance came during the 2021
College Football Playoff Semifinals against the Cincinnati Bearcats,
rushing 201 yards—a school record for a bowl game—and being named the Cotton Bowl's MVP.
