The retired wide receiver was not happy with a letter
he received from the NFL regarding his disability claim.
Former NFL wide receiver Wes Welker slammed the league
over a claim, he filed for line-of-duty disability benefits.
According to the NFL's email, the Disability Initial Claims
The committee submitted its line-of-duty application and requested
that Welker file additional records to substantiate this.
The surgery he has received since retiring was the result of football injuries.
Welker, who is now the Dolphins' assistant coach, was not happy with the NFL's response.
Welker's criticism is the latest example of former players
being unhappy with the league's plan, for better or worse.
