Giancarlo Stanton's Yankees handed rehab stint at Double-A
Saturday from New York Yankees All-Star outfielder Giancarlo Stanton
Sunday is expected to do a two-game rehab with Double-A Somerset.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters on Friday that
If their weekend in the minors went according to plan
Stanton will face Luis Severino for live batting practice on Tuesday.
Stanton last played on July 23 with left Achilles tendonitis.
He worked Friday night before New York's game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Boone said the Yankees aren't worried about getting Stanton back in the outfield.
He was transferred to the 60-day injured list
and will not be eligible to return until mid-September.
